Allopia is a collaborative project responding to a brief by Chris Clarke, Creative Director of The Guardian, to develop a speculative micronation using design to shape behaviour, participation, and belonging.
The project responded to the four citizen values: Authenticity, Praxis, Agency and Cultural Politics. We created Allopia, a micronation where citizens permanently alter their perception to restore childlike wonder, honesty, and presence.
Allopia is an imaginary world created as an escape from reality and the pressures of adult life. The project explores what it might feel and look like to travel somewhere completely free from societal expectation.
